für den Ausstieg aus der Prostitution! e.V.
for the exit from prostitution! e.V. (registered association)

In times when the State fails and Germany has become the “European hub of the trafficking of women” and a destination for sex tourists, we appeal to the citizens to take action. We want to help prostitutes who are in need and/or want to exit. We want to inform about the bitter reality of prostitution.

We are there for:

  • Prostitutes seeking help
  • Sisters (and Brothers) offering active participation
  • Journalists requiring information and contacts

News From “Sisters”

Members of German parliament demand Nordic model

Sixteen members of the German Parliament from the CDU/CSU and the SPD – among them our second chairman Leni Breymaier – call on all prime ministers to keep the brothels in their countries closed. In view of the Corona crisis, it would be negligent to reopen the brothels for health reasons. In addition, the parliamentarians make it clear that they consider prostitution to be inhumane, destructive and misogynistic:

CORONA: The chance to exit? by Chantal Louis from EMMA Magazine

Germany’s brothels are closed. What does that mean for the women? And why does the pro-prostitution lobby lament a threatening “homelessness”? And: will the Cologne mega-brothel “Pascha” really get short-time allowance from the Corona rescue funds for the economy?

We – WHO WE ARE

We are: a social worker, a politician, a trade unionist, two journalists, a psychologist and a “voluntary” (ex-) prostitute. We are all women with years of experience working with prostitutes and for them. Now we have founded a nonprofit association: “SISTERS – for the exit from prostitution”.

For we don’t want to look away any more! Look away, while hundreds of thousands of poverty prostitutes from Eastern Europe and third-world countries and also desperate German women in prostitution are left alone in this country. Now that it’s clear that also the second reform of the Prostitution Act (ProstSchG) will protect those trading with women as commodities, but will abandon the women in prostitution, we want to act on our own!

Women in prostitution who need help or who want to exit: Please contact us!

Women who have exited prostitution and want to make their experiences available: Please contact us!

All persons and institutions are welcome that wish to become a member of our association or to support it with donations.

We are also looking for “Sisters” throughout Germany who as volunteers actively help prostituted women and assist them in leaving prostitution.

YOU – who are you?

I AM IN PROSTITUTION AND NEED HELP

Help

Mail us or give us a call. Please tell us your name (or, if desired, just your first name), your age, the city and your telephone number or email address so that we can contact you and organize appropriate help for you in your vicinity. Alternatively, we would like to refer to the 24-hour emergency number of KARO e.V.: 01739755374. You can rely on our absolute confidentiality. Please contact us!

I/WE WANT TO DONATE FOR SISTERS.

Contributions

SISTERS exists exclusively thanks to donations. We urgently need money for prostitutes in need and for the help to get out. The members of the board work voluntarily. All funds are used 100 percent for help and information. – The donations are tax-deductible. On request, we will gladly issue a donation receipt. Here you can donate.

I/WE WANT TO BECOME A PASSIVE MEMBER OF SISTERS

Passive Member

You want to become a member? Wonderful! We need as many Sisters and Brothers as possible. Passive members pay 20 Euro membership fee per year (more will be welcome!) and will be kept informed about the activities. The association holds one general meeting per year. Here you can join us.

I WANT TO BECOME AN ACTIVE SISTER.

Active Member

There are many ways to become active for SISTERS beyond passive membership. For example, by supporting us in assisting women in your city who exited prostitution: by looking for alternative job opportunities, by supporting those who exited prostitution in dealing with public authorities, by helping as translators, by distributing information material for prostitutes, by searching for and renting safe apartments etc. This does not necessarily require a specific professional qualification – life experience and empathy can be enough. We regularly offer qualification courses for future Sisters. Please contact us!

I AM A JOURNALIST LOOKING FOR INFORMATION AND CONTACTS

Journalists

We provide you with well-founded information on prostitution and human trafficking. And we can establish contacts with experts – social workers, police officers, lawyers, etc. – as well as prostitutes or ex-prostitutes. Please contact us!

I AM A PEDAGOGUE/POLITICIAN/CITIZEN AND WANT TO MAKE AN INFORMATION EVENT WITH SISTERS.

EVENTS

We are about to set up a pool of prostitution experts for informational and educational events, from psychologists and street workers to ex-prostitutes. These experts will be glad to assist you personally: at schools or educational institutions, at citizens’ and party meetings etc. Just let us know what kind of event you are looking for. Please contact us!

NONE OF THESE POINTS, BUT I WANT TO GET IN CONTACT WITH SISTERS.
